First American Bank Named a 2021 Top Workplace

First American Bank is honored to be included in the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces of 2021 list, a notable distinction during a year of transition and change. Sitting at #43 in the mid-sized company category, First American Bank is a private community bank that prioritizes its employees’ satisfaction and wellbeing.

The Chicago Tribune released their annual Top Workplaces report at a critical moment when the Great Resignation continues to affect employers and businesses. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the quit rate grew 2.9%, resulting in 4.3 million quits by August. Workers have left their jobs in large droves dissatisfied by factors such as their work culture, pay gap, and general lack of benefits or career growth. The Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplace report highlighted companies that were able to retain their employees and foster successful, fulfilling work environments.

After conducting countless anonymous surveys earlier in the year, Chicago Tribune used employee feedback to determine which companies would make the final list. Out of a competitive pool of prospective companies, it selected 200 total, with one of them being First American Bank.

First American Bank credits its staff for their continued work across the organization, as well as their honesty and transparency that has officially elevated the bank’s presence into Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces report.
