At First American Bank, we’re big enough to do it all – small enough to care.
Get To Know UsCourse work and hands-on rotations focus on credit analysis
Our Commercial Leadership Training Program provides trainees with a comprehensive introduction to a commercial banking career. The four- to six-month program puts a primary focus on credit analysis and risk assessment. A combination of structured development, rotational learning, and on-the-job training provides Commercial Leadership Trainees (CLTs) with exposure to the daily responsibilities of our Credit Analysts as well as our Relationship Managers.
- Course Work: Structured development includes classes at First American Bank University (FABU) with other employees throughout the organization. Courses include General Branch Information Training, Business Deposit Accounts and Sales/Relationship Building.
- Hands-On Experience: Rotations include exposure to departments such as Trade Finance, Treasury Management and Branch Operations. These experiences allow trainees to better understand the Commercial Loan Department’s relationship to the rest of the bank.
- Financial Analysis: Throughout the program, our trainees work side-by-side with our Credit Analysts, who provide financial analysis training and industry analysis training.
- Corporate Culture: This diverse training structure allows our trainees to get a full understanding of First American Bank’s culture and provides us an opportunity to assess the trainees for leadership skills and personal drive for results.
